Upgraded Testimony
A Butterfly goes through 4 stages to become one. The third stage is the chrysalis. A caterpillar actually turns into the chrysalis and in the chrysalis turns into a butterfly. It is a full body experience, a metamorphosis that takes place. Something that could once crawl can now fly. Isn't God awesome and His creation so beautiful.
You and I can be like the butterfly. We can embrace the change and become something new through every life challenge. Let us be intentional in not going back to our old ways of thinking and behaving.
Unlike the butterfly we have a choice in this. We can retreat, we can ease back into an old mold of ourselves, missing out on the blessings of God's awesome power to change us. Let us resist the temptation to turn back and fly high with our new wings.
Reflect on what the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 3:13-14
"Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
Every challenge can be a change in an upward direction. This can transform us into the person God can use to bring people closer to Christ, in new ways with our new testimony. Sometimes when life changing situations happen, God is saying it is time for an upgrade, for a new you, for a new perspective and passion.
My faith, trust and love for God has changed since before I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It is deeper and I am different because of it. My testimony has be upgraded.
