Looking Out At The Big Picture

October 19, 2018

Looking at the above picture can be intimidating.  I would wonder what is in the trees, where does the water lead to, what animals live there that can harm me.  You can apply the same questions to your personal journey and how we wonder what is really out there in our future. I have always desired to be a writer. I thought blogging would be a good place to start.  If you look at my past post you will see that I began a few years ago, but never stuck with it.  In looking at the big picture, committing to write, the internet, social media...I was indeed intimidated.

In October of last year, I tried to make the deadline for the Write 31 Days challenge, I didn't.  But this year, my intensity was different.  I knew I had to do this.  As I realized that we are half the way through the challenge, I had a revelation, To complete the challenge would be great, but that is not why I am doing this. I am doing this to get past the obstacles that have stopped me in the past. My understanding of the big picture has changed.  I know that it is made of small pieces. Without the small pieces, there would be no big picture.

A Journey Through Pink Valley, is about my time dealing with breast cancer.  It is also the pathway to my claiming and walking in what God has promised.  I am no longer to say, I want to be a blogger,  I am now a blogger. That is the first piece of my big picture. In completing this part, I can now see myself in the picture. I am a writer and I can do this. The reason for the journey is superseded by the purpose for it. As I continue to develop as a writer, God is unfolding His ultimate plan. I am so excited to see the other pieces and what God has planned for me as a writer, artist and minister of His Gospel, I want to give God all the glory.

As we look out at the big picture we may not know what is there but through the valley highs and lows, know that God is working out His master plan.  As we read in Jeremiah 29:11:

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I am so very grateful.
