Walking In Mercy

There is nothing like getting up early in the morning and taking a nice run or walk. Having the rest of the day to do other things, knowing they you have first taking care of your body with some exercise.

Okay I hear those of you who are not morning people and I guess it doesn't matter when you exercise just as long are you are doing it. Yet, there is something about the early morning time; the peace and the stillness.

When was the last time you sought after the quietness in God's creations? Just to hear the birds, to feel the wind, to breathe the fresh air. Depending on where you live you can experience this quietness at night also. Gazing at the moon

and the stars, hearing the hooting of owls, the chirping of crickets, God is in all of that, He created it. He also created the beating heart. Sometimes when I am resting quietly, I think about how God keeps my heart beating. Just amazing!

I am free in knowing that God is fully in control. God determines everything, right down to our last heartbeat. For the believer, nothing can stop us, no disease, illness, circumstance or situation. God is in control of our lives. We have to trust Him and walk in His path and every morning we will be blessed. Lamentations 3:22-23 tells us that,

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end: they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

Brand new mercies every morning that can be reflected upon during that morning walk or late night stroll. Keep walking through life and take some time to enjoy and reflect on the goodness, faithfulness and mercies of God.
