Goodbye Pink Valley
When do we know it is time to say goodbye to something. As we journey through life we have to be careful not hold on to something for to long.
The level of comfort and peace God gave me as I journeyed through breast cancer I have never felt before. As I have previously said, it has changed me forever. It was a special time and a precious time but. I cannot stay there. It is very tempting to try and hold on to that safe place.
I was so comfortable looking out from behind the pink flowers. Pink Valley was my private place, my healing place, a place where my pain was nurtured by God's loving kindness. Oh, I would love to stay there. Some people are ready to go, but I was ready to stay in the presence of God all day. Hoping money would just fall into my lap, so I didn't have to go back to work.
When the need for a place like Pink Valley no longer exist, God will begin to push you out of your comfort zone. You will know when your thoughts begin to change. This is a spiritual readiness; a mindset, a time when you set your mind beyond the challenge. God will begin to speak to you and you have to decide to agree:
I am now a survivor, an overcomer,
I am victorious!
To come into agreement was not easy at first, I began to feel discomfort. I had to agree that it was time. Not agreeing I was, fighting against God. Amos 3:3 says, “Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet?" Although, the transition has been rough at times, I knew that peeking in on "real life" and then resorting back to Pink Valley was not an option. It was time to get up and go back to work, to what God had called me to do. It was time to move beyond this journey and let it be a testimony.
Yes, you will take some scars; some may not be able to join you as they are still going through the journey. Keep praying for them. And know that it is a blessing to be able to leave the valley and get back to responsibilities and challenges in everyday life. I am so grateful and humbled by my outcome.
I am walking in the path of a blessing, in the path to healed and wholeness.
If it is time, move forward in any area in your life; agree to meet God at a new starting place. Don't delay your walk into freedom and celebration.
