The fire. It is all too real when we are going through. When we are being tested a connection to God can be all we seek. It may be the only hope we have and we are emotional and in a spiritually hungry place. We crave the power and security of God. When God answers our prayers, there is a burning in your soul. Our heart is on fire for God.
The journey is about more than our relationship with God, it is also about our relationship with His creation. It other words it is about our testimony. Sharing our experience with other
We have to be careful to protect the fire. It can fade away, slowly or quickly once we return to the beast beat. The beast beat is the push and pull of the world; it will push and pull you away from God. It will also push you into the darkness of tolerance, acceptance, mainstream, commonality, etc., and pull you away from your testimony.
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." Revelation 12:11
Don't lose this, your testimony, is a most powerful weapon. The enemy is clever and has many traps set up. We have to be careful not to fall into the trap of hiding it. We lose it when we hide it because of fear, pride or ignorance to its power, all traps of the enemy. 1 Timothy 1:7 tells us that
"God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."
If I speak of my journey through breast cancer and mention the doctors, nurses and anyone else that helped me get through but fear mentioning the name of Jesus, I have lost it.
If I dare to speak in front of anybody about my deliverance and healing and say how strong I was and how I fought through it and did not mention the power of God, I have lost it.
If I talk about every family member, friend, co-worker, neighbor that helped care for me and showed their kindness but neglect to mention the comfort of the Holy Spirit, I have lost it.

As I think about it. If it takes a disease or illness or challenging situation to realize the wonder working power of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit working in our lives. Maybe we have already lost it. Are we shining our light before others in everyday life.
In our minds, things get lost. Thoughts get lost, we forget. The truth is if you don't intentionally read the Word of God daily, you will lose it. If you don't meditate on the Word of God, you will lose it.

When was the last time you testified about the work God is doing in your life. Is that sparkle of fire way back in the "somewhere" in your mind. Is it lost? If so, find it and pray to never lose it again.
